3rd Floor Quiet Zone is Hopping!

Midterms must be close because the library's 3rd floor Quiet Zone is close to full. Lots and lots of students (and faculty) are busy studying, grading, and chilling in silence. Ahhh...such a great space to be.

If you haven't been to the library's 3rd floor, you should check it out. The doors to upstairs are by the Service Desk. OR, take a ride in the elevator by the restrooms.

Good luck with midterms!

Outstanding Staff Green Award Winner Is...

The library's very own Lisa Brantley is the Parkland College 2013 Outstanding Staff Award winner for five or fewer years of service!

Let's hear it for Lisa. We have a few things we'd like to say in appreciation. Write a comment, if you'd like to contribute a sentence or two.

The Parkland Library's Ode to Lisa

Lisa is kind, smart, thoughtful, upbeat, and a true joy to work with! ~Anna Maria W.

I can't think of a more deserving person. Lisa combines amazing competence and outstanding cheerfulness. We are privileged to work with her. ~Frances D.

Lisa's an inspiring presence, always--full of optimism, energy and good cheer, day after day after day, and somehow you never even want to give her a good smack in the head about it. Go figure. ~Cliff B.

Lisa is very caring. ~Pamela W.

Lisa's enthusiasm, sense of humor, and positive attitude are inspiring. She could make a mint as a motivational speaker, but she likes hanging out with us library folk and we love her for it. ~Jane S.

Lisa's smile is like sunshine! ~Nancy J.

The contribution you made is very impressive. ~Jing S.

Working with Lisa is like bringing the sunshine indoors. She's great! ~Maggie T.

Lisa, we really appreciate the energy, ideas, and sense of fun that you bring to our library. ~Frank B.

Lisa always exhibits a joie de vivre (enjoyment of life). ~Nancy B.

Lisa my congratulations and best wishes to you! ~Gulya F.
