Positive feedback from our suggestion box

We recently received a comment from our online suggestion box:

“I am an adult student here at Parkland.  When I went to college before, I did not use the library very much.  Last semester and so far this semester, I have been using the library resources quite a bit and I just wanted to let you know how wonderful the library staff is.  They are always willing to help and they do so in a wonderfully friendly manner.  It really makes the library feel like a welcoming place and a wonderful resource.  Thank you so much and keep up the good work!  You are appreciated!”

Our response:

Thank you so much for your kind words.  We all have fond memories of libraries both as children and adults, so we simply strive to make our library the kind of place we would want to visit!
It makes us extremely happy that you value the library and librarians as a resource in your education.  After all, our mission is to provide services and resources that support the educational goals and purpose of Parkland College.  Google can do an awful lot of things, but it has not yet managed to replicate a friendly smile.
