While there is no formal process for submission anyone can suggest a person (or reptile) to be on the annual READ poster. All suggestions are welcome and two of the previous posters came through suggestions from across the college. Because this annual event is garnering much more interest from the Parkland College community ("Hey how can I be on one of those posters, I check out a lot of books!") we are contemplating having a selection process next year whereby nominations can be made via the website. The final decision will continue to be made by the library.
So far, the four previous posters were either people or the college mascot. No canned meat. Sorry. Maybe one day canned meat will get the recognition it truly deserves. In the meantime, we wait for the next unveiling...hey, that was a clue!
