Happy Birthday, President Lincoln!
Today marks 200 years since the birth of our 16th President. Looks like another Mr. Lincoln strolled in today on Abe's birthday. Though somewhat disappointed to learn the library had no extravagant festival complete with streamers and cake planned, he was happy to learn of events around Illinois where he might indulge in something sweet. Here he is chatting up one of our reference librarians, Nancy. He was quite surprised to learn how much citation styles have changed since the 19th century, but Nancy was happy to offer him handouts on citing his sources. We hear he plans to research and write an account of what really happened during the U.S. Civil War.

What talent can be found in the library! Does Mr. Lincoln do private functions too?
