Word of Google, Inc.'s privacy policy changes has been all over the web. In a nutshell, they are consolidating information they gather about individuals from all the different services they offer--gmail, mapping, web analytics, YouTube, etc. Here are some details direct from the horse's mouth.
If you're concerned about maintain some privacy, one easy thing to do is delete your web browsing history. If you've ever browsed the web while logged into gmail or another Google service, you just may be amazed at what you'll see when you do this.
The same goes for YouTube videos you've watched. There is a separate set of instructions to follow to clear that history off the web.
